Zimmer-Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Howards Grove)Robert "Bob" E. Meyer passed away on October 19, 2025 at home with his family by his side. He was born on February 7, 1953, to the late William and Dorothy (Schultz) Meyer. He grew up in Sheboygan and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School class of 1972. Bob married Fern (Hansen) Meyer on May 22, 2008. They were married for 17 years, and together for over 30 years. He worked for Amira Tannery and Kohler Company for 19 years before becoming a manager of THE HOP for 7 years. He owned Talk of The Town tavern from 2002 until 2013. In 2015, he joined the Sheboygan Chevrolet and Chrysler team, driving shuttles 9 years.
Bob had a love of trapshooting. He was county champion for 3 years and won at the state level as well. Bob was also a former president and longtime member to the Rhine Plymouth Field& Stream. He loved teaching trap shooting to his wife, kids, grandson, other family and friends. Field trials for 30 years. He was a proud supporter of Kiel Fish and Game Banquet for 15 years. He loved playing cards, and was an avid Texas Hold'em player.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Nick, Dr Sunjay Suthar, Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center, and the Aurora Hospice nurses for the exceptional compassion and care they showed to Bob and his family. A special thanks and friendship to our Dominion of Terror/Jaycees family. The family hosted them at Talk of the Town after their Halloween Haunted House weekend nights for many years.
Bob is survived by his wife Fern Meyer, and his children Christopher Meyer of Sheboygan Falls, Shannon Meyer of Sheboygan, Roberta (Seth-friend) Meyer of Sheboygan, Terry Dewey "Bonus Son" of Sheboygan, Shakira Wery "Bonus Daughter" of Sheboygan, and his Fur baby Duke. He is further survived by his sister Patsy Schultz of Kewaskum, Rick (Susan) Schultz "Bonus Brother" of Dickeyville, and his grandchildren Angela Meyer, Brett Meyer, Dakota Wery and Steven (Sarah) Becker, and Great Grandson Jameson, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, the employees of Sheboygan Chevy and Chrysler, his special trap buddies Louis and Maud Wery and family, Brad and Janelle Morehouse and Family, George Palmer, Brian and Becky Scholten, Bill and Kelly Murphy, Kevin Longbird, Steve Glaeser, Cliff Colby, Claude Colby, Tanya and Ryan Herman, Janess and Anthony Willimott, Mark and Leah Reichert, and Jodi Zajikowski (Mark "Angel Eye's Polich).
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Betty Ann Hansen, his brothers Bill and Dennis Meyer, and his brother- in-law Cliff Schultz.
A memorial service will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton Rd. in Sheboygan, on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Darren E. Beachy officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with family at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., and on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Please join the family on November 30th from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for a benefit and celebration of Bob's wonderful life, at Village 170, 170 Rangeline Rd. in Kohler.
Bob has requested that family and friends please wear your Packers Jersey(If you bantered with him about a different team, please wear that), Brewers, hunting or Trap Shooting attire to the visitation.
