Robert E. “Bob” Mohla of Woburn passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 78 years of age.
Born on Thursday, April 27, 1944 in Wakefield, Bob is the loving son of the late George Mohla and Louise (Vinton) Mohla. Bob is a warm, kind & gentle son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed.
Bob was a loving family man who worked very hard to provide for his family. He was a devoted employee of the Town of Reading DPW for 35 years where he made lasting friendships. Bob always had a very lengthy story to tell and always cookie to share with the grandkids, sometimes missing the middle cream filling! He never hesitated when a friend or family member needed him and he enjoyed spending his time with family. Bob loved doing sudoku books and challenging his wife's sanity. He also enjoyed taking his family on car rides and trips to Disney World.
Bob is the beloved husband for 50 years of Mary (Sweeney) Mohla. He is the devoted father of Robert “Bob” Mohla, Jr., Mary Mohla and her late husband Luis and Christie Erschen and her husband Sean. The cherished grandfather of Brianna J. Mohla, Alyssia W. Huertas, Alexandria S. Huertas, Rachel K. Mohla, Uisary A. Huertas and Angelica L. Huertas, Bob is the doting great grandfather of Autumn Famolare, Addison Powers and soon to arrive Baby Girl Carrington. He was the dear brother of the late David Mohla and the brother in law of Marion and the late Dale Rich as well as William Sweeney
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Bob’s Family for Visiting Hours on Friday, February 17th from 4-7pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street READING. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Bob’s memory to the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.

I first met Bobby when I was about 8 or9 years old,had many great times together groing up and onto adulthood I had been trying to contact him and had no idea he passed away.i will miss him.

I Remember one of the kids eatting the cream from the cookie only for papa to eat it and laugh why is this cookie wet and no cream, lol. "Cause I ate the cream Papa!" He loved all the kids so much as they filled his heart with so much Joy, He was an amazing Father and an even better Papa. Love you Dad <3 You gave us so much also, Thank you. God Bless
