It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Walter Roach, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 83. Bob was born on December 29, 1941, in Knoxville, TN. He grew up in Knoxville and attended Bearden High School class of 1960. After high school he enlisted in the US Air Force. As an airman, Bob served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and served on an airbase in Newfoundland, he drove fuel tankers and refueled at multiple bases throughout his 4 years of service. In 1965, he began to work for America Enka Company/BASF until his retirement in 1994. He continued his working career at Lowes Hardware in Morristown, TN until his final retirement in 2004.

Bob was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in White Pine, TN and leaves behind a legacy of loving others and loving God.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Leigh Anne and several other family members. He is survived by his sons, Ron (Genna) Roach of Morristown, TN and Aaron (Juli) Roach of Concord, NC. He took great delight in his 5 grandchildren, Ryleigh, Ryan, Eli, Lucy, and Lily Roach, and the loving mother of his children, Judy Roach, sister, Alice Hoback and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Bob Roach will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We will forever hold him in our hearts and carry his memory with us.

There will be a funeral service at First Baptist Church of White Pine on Sunday, January 26, 2025, 4:00pm with family receiving friends from 3:00pm to 4:00pm prior to the service. Graveside Interment Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, 2:00pm in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
