Robert Steiner, 83, passed away August 5, 2024. He was born in Akron to the late Robert and Freeda Steiner and resided in Silver Lake for the past 40 years. Bob spent his youth in Peninsula and was a proud 1959 graduate of Boston High School, where he met many lifelong friends; their exploits would provide the material for a lifetime of storytelling.

Bob retired from a rewarding career at United Disability Services. He loved traveling with his wife, spending time with his family, playing golf, driving his Porche and was an avid sport enthusiast and dog lover. Bob was active in his community and very involved in the Silver Lake Historical Society and Veteran’s Tribute Garden. 

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol; children, Pete (Cheryl), Gio (April) and Marisa; grandchildren, Gabby, Kayla, Peyton, Alex, Vincent, Gia, Sophia, Megan (Brendan) and Nate; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Artie and Harper; sister, Luann Steiner; brother-in-law, Jim Aldridge; niece, Beth Steiner and nephew, Scott Steiner.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Thursday August 8, 2024 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday August 9 at the Peninsula United Methodist Church 1575 Main St. Peninsula, OH 44264. Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
