Robert Burklin Obituary
December 15, 1932 - July 26, 2025
Robert "Bobby" Edward Burklin, 92, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Oklahoma in 1932, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the early 1950s, traveling the world aboard the USS Cony (DDE-508). After completing his service, he settled in Greensboro, the hometown of his beloved wife, Carol, and built a long career at the Vick Chemical plant and Procter & Gamble.
He was a man of great practical wisdom and mechanical craftsmanship, known for his warmth, wit, and deep devotion to his family. Bobby is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol Burklin; daughters Barbara and Beverly (Bill); grandchildren Jessica (Jonathan), Nathan (Ashley), Robert, and Jennifer (Scott); and great-grandchildren Griffin, Gwyneth, Jaxon, Landon, Ava, and Audrey.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, August 7th, at Newlyn Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AuthoraCare Collective of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave, Greensboro, N.C. 27405, or Newlyn Street United Methodist Church, 212 E. Newlyn St., Greensboro, N.C. 27408.

I am sorry for Carol and her family. I worked with Bobby and Carol at Vicks for many years back in the day. My prayers for the family. Bobby taught me a lot in regards to packing on the line. Made me aware of the little things, safety ws a big part, as well, as quality.
