Robert "Bobby" Lee Thornton, age 80, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at the North MS Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
Bobby was born on October 27, 1944 to the late Ben and Sally Wolfe Thornton in Sardis, MS. He was an educator most of his life, receiving his master's degree in education. Bobby taught school in Sardis and then went on to retire in DeSoto County.
Bobby was also a proud veteran. He honorably served our country in the United States Army.
The family he leaves behind includes his wife, Lacey Thornton; and his three children, Robert Thornton, Jr., Holly Bailey, and Matthew Thornton.
At this time, there will be no services held for Bobby.
