Robert Borgialli Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harness Funeral Home on Mar. 13, 2026.
Robert H. "Bob" Borgialli, 93, passed away at his home in Buffalo, Wyoming, on March 11, 2026, with his family by his side. Services for Bob will be held at the Summit Wesleyan Church, 980 N Main Street in Buffalo, on Wednesday March 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stephen Martin officiating. Memorial donations in Bob's memory may be made to St. Francis Animal Shelter at 109 Flat Iron Drive, Buffalo Wyoming 82834. Online condolences for Bob may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com.

Bob was born January 29, 1933, to Charlie and Ruth Borgialli at the Marshall and Hazel Cullum home in Newcastle, Wyoming. He grew up on the family ranch and attended grade school at the Borgialli Country School. Bob later attended Newcastle High School, where he participated in rodeo, football, and FFA. He graduated in 1951 and was offered a football scholarship to Chadron College but chose instead to remain on the family ranch while also working in the oil fields.

In August of 1951, Bob enlisted in the Wyoming National Guard and served until his honorable discharge in October of 1959.

In August of 1960, he moved his family to Buffalo, Wyoming, where he purchased the Zahradnicek Ranch on Rock Creek. He continued ranching there for the rest of his life. Bob took great pride in his work and was especially proud that, at 92 years old, he was still harrowing fields and swathing hay. He was always looking for ways to improve his cattle operation through genetics, vaccines, minerals, and hay quality.

Throughout the years, Bob ran his ranch while also working full time for various companies. In October of 1976, he went to work for the City of Buffalo, where he later became City Works Foreman. He retired in 2000 at the age of 67.

Bob enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. In 2022, he was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his son, Bob (Diana) Borgialli of Buffalo; daughters Judy (Chris) Hansen of Eagle Point, Oregon, Cindy (Randy) Black of Belfry, Montana, and Dianne (Rick) Farris of Buffalo; one sister, Dorothy Bartlett of Kansas; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and one grandson.
