Clyde Berlinger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harness Funeral Home on Feb. 19, 2026.
Services for Clyde Bernard Berlinger, 87-year-old Buffalo resident, who passed away Wednesday at Amie Holt Care Center, will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Willow Grove Cemetery, with Bob Ruby officiating. Memorial donations in Clyde's name may be made to the Johnson County 4-H Extension Office in care of the Hunter's Safety Program at 30 Fairgrounds Road, Buffalo Wyoming 82834. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com.

Clyde Berlinger was born on July 25, 1938, in Centerline, Michigan, to Frank and Angeline (Moran) Berlinger. He attended school in Imlay City, Michigan, and went on to become a skilled heavy equipment operator - a profession well-suited to his steady hands and strong work ethic. In 1975, he moved his family to Wyoming, a place he proudly called home for the remainder of his life.

From 1983 until his retirement in 2003, Clyde worked for Johnson County Road and Bridge. He served as a foreman, earning the respect of his crew and the community through his leadership and dedication to keeping the county's roads safe and maintained.

He married Loretta Petz, and together they had four children. Though they later divorced, family remained central to his life. In 1983, he met the love of his life, Patricia (Tricia) Corell Allen, through his best friend and bowling partner, Kenny, and his wife, Marsha. The couples bowled league together, and in 1986 Clyde and Tricia were married, building a life rooted in partnership, laughter, and shared years.

Clyde was an avid hunter and fisherman. He and Tricia spent summers camping in the Big Horns - first in a tent, then later upgrading to a camper and four wheelers. The grandchildren were always included, and those mountain summers became cherished traditions. Clyde and Tricia loved to golf together. They traveled extensively to locations in Montana, Arizona, Iowa, Michigan and South Carolina to enjoy the game.

He is survived by his wife, Tricia; his sons, Mitchell (Renae) Berlinger of Casper, Wyoming; Darren Berlinger of Greybull, Wyoming; and Shannon (Jenny) Berlinger of Casper, Wyoming. One sister, Sharon (Jim) Kunz; and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud grandfather to Brooke, Tyler, Kallie, Makayla, Jesi and Cody, and a great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren who carried forward his name and spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Angeline; his brother, Frank; his daughter, Dawn Ann; and his grandson, Josh.

Clyde will be remembered for his steady presence, his commitment to his work, and the unwavering love he held for his family.
