Lima, OH Robert "Bob" L. Boughan, age 82, passed away on August 29, 2025, at 11:03 pm, at the Lima Memorial Health System. Bob was born November 13, 1942, in Lima, OH, to the late William "Rebel" Elmer Boughan and Mauvette (Hamilton) Snyder. Bob is survived by his former spouse, Geraldene A. Boughan of Delphos, OH, his children: Robert "Mitch" (Stacia) Boughan of Lima, OH, Richard "Rick" D. (Jennifer) Boughan of Lima, OH, William "Duke" S. (Jean) Boughan of Middle Point, OH, Michelle (Mike) Sarver of Middle Point, OH and Gregory Boughan of Delphos, OH, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a sister, Cheryl Gillette of WV. He was preceded in death by brothers: Richard "Buck" L. Boughan and William Boughan. Bob was a 1960 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He worked for more than 20 years as a millwright with Teledyne Ohio Steel retiring in 1992. His true passion was sprint car racing. Bob was well known for his racing legacy in and around the Lima area. He built, raced, designed and wrenched on many different sprint cars through the years. Bob loved his dogs and never passed by a garage sale without stopping. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Springbrook Gardens located at 4240 Northwest St., Lima, OH where a luncheon will be provided at 12:00 noon.The CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL is honored to be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
