Robert Wayne "Bob" Bower Sr.

Robert "Bob" Wayne Bower, Sr., 79, of Finksburg, MD passed away on February 14, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 18, 1946 in Baltimore Maryland, he was the son of the late James W. Bower, Sr. and Catherine M. Bower née Mann. He was the loving husband for 60 years of Deborah A. Bower née Troxell.

Surviving are his children, Robert W. Bower, Jr. and fiancé, Maria Betz of Finksburg, MD, Amy L. Bower of Mooresville, NC, and Michael K. Bower and wife, Meghan of Finksburg, MD; sister, Virginia Harvey of Severna Park, MD, brother, Thomas Bower, Sr. of Finksburg, MD. Predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn Weiss, Irene Howard, Doris Gill, Sharon Almoney and his brother, James Bower, Jr. In addition, survived by his loving grandchildren, Robert Bower, III, Kristen Bower, Haliegh Bower, Julia Bower, Zachary Bache, Caden Bower, Chace Bower, Jaxon Bower; and great granddaughter, Adrianna Peltzer. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He and his brother Tom were self employed, working together for over 50 years in the trucking transportation industry.

He enjoyed going drag racing with his family while being crew chief for his sons and spending time with many racing friends. He also enjoyed family vacations at the beach, weekly bingo at Gamber Fire Hall socializing with new friends, attending sporting events, hunting and fishing. He was a past member of the Roaring Run Lions Club-Little League Baseball.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Road Finksburg, MD 21048. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eline Funeral Home in Finksburg, with Pastor Louis Piel officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048.
