He was born on November 22, 1935 in Port Huron.
Robert married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Barcume and she preceded him in death after 50 wonderful years of marriage.
He was a devoted father and grandfather. Robert's grandchildren meant the world to him, and he took great pride in their accomplishments. He had many different hobbies over the years, but his main hobby was taking care and being there for his family. He would always say "you did good, Boo."
Robert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (Mike) Pedrotti, grandchildren, Emily Pedrotti and Bo Pedrotti, daughter and son-in-law, Marylynn (Leonard) Gottler, grandchildren, Eli Gottler and Grace (Luke) Stearns along with one great grandchild, Mickey.
There will be no services at Mr. Boyd's request. Cremation arrangements in care of, Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.
Memorial tributes may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Blue Water Hospice.
