Robert Lloyd Braddock, Jr. (Bo)
June 11, 1992 - May 2, 2025
To know Bo was to know many incredible people all at once. He was a father, brother, son, teacher, musician, and friend. He did each passionately and with a style that only Bo could get away with. Bo pushed every limit, and he challenged those around him to live their truth, despite what is socially acceptable. We are comforted knowing he is finally at peace and that he felt loved and supported to the very end.
Bo had a deeply feeling heart, making his joyful moments truly magnetic, but he was also troubled by the unfairness and injustices of this world. His experience in Zambia and with underprivileged students was difficult for him to reconcile. Even in his pain, his humor never wavered – Bo was always the life of the party, whether you wanted him to be or not. He had many talents and was so charismatic that it was impossible for him not to be the focal point of any gathering. His singing voice was powerful and he played numerous musical instruments. Bo was the smartest guy in most rooms and never missed an opportunity to use his quick wit, even if it landed him in the proverbial (or even the actual) principal's office. He could tell stories and debate about anything, and he was smart and genuine enough to have a meaningful conversation with anyone.
As a teacher, Bo impacted countless young lives, bringing his love for learning and passion for science to the classroom. He was untraditional: chemistry experiments that resulted in his burnt arm hair, story time on an alphabet rug (for teenagers!), and playing guitar and singing for good behavior. During the summers (before he became a father), Bo would take his jet ski all over Galveston Bay and the surrounding SE Texas Coast. Bo also was a certified sailor and loved and constantly challenged the power of nature. He absolutely loved adventure and saw so much of God's creation from the water just like Bo to take an alternative vantage point and make it a special experience. As a musician, Bo played in cover bands, tribute bands and did solo gigs with his original music, but he was truly his best when leading worship. He loved to sing and moved everyone who joined with him.
Bo's lasting legacy is his wonderful son, Robert, who he affectionately called Trey. Trey and Bo were inseparable and as close as any father/son could be. At only 4 years old, Trey has performed with his dad and is quite the drummer in his own right. Outside of music, they absolutely loved spending time outdoors. They have camped at over 20 state parks, but their favorite "campsite" was always the Braddock family farm in New Waverly. Father and son (and many times family and friends) would be there for days, with Bo leading cousin hikes, 4 wheeler rides, and joining in on the work that a farm requires. Trey lost his father way too young, but Bo has built a strong foundation for him.
In addition to his son, Robert III, and his former wife, Dr. Catherine Faler, Bo leaves behind a family who loves him dearly; his parents, Kathryn & Robert Sr.; siblings, Elisabeth (& Trevor) Bowman, Cassie (& George) Clark, and Dean Braddock; grandmother, Joy Connell; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Everybody has a Bo story, and we'd love to know them all. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 11am on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Deer Park Funeral Directors at 336 E San Augustine St, Deer Park, TX 77536. Visitation will start at 10am, with a reception to follow at Crossroads Community Church at 310 W P St, Deer Park, TX 77536.

Mr. Braddock showed me so much more then just science he showed me to not be afraid to express myself and he gave me comfort on something I was very sensitive to talk about. I remember on my first day of school I walked in late looked terrible and he let me in I saw he was wearing a suit had his hair to the side wore glasses, I'll never forget how he'd read us stories about a truck and how he would talk about his son. I'll never forget him my condolences to the family rest in peace Mr Braddock

Mrbraddock was the best science teacher I have ever had in my entire life. He was a teacher who would light up everyone the second they walked through the door; the kind of teacher who would have schoolkids excited to see him. I remember when he would wear tuxes on some days and talk about keeping his beard clean and some days he didn´t care! He truly made me feel included in everything we did in class, I am sure other school kids felt the same way. He had a personality where it just couldn´t go unnoticed: He spent that whole school year teaching us and I had never had such a better school year and I am sure it was partially because of Mrbraddock. He was an amazing science teacher and he brought back the best in all of us, may he rest in peace.

Mr Braddock was one of the best singers I´ve ever heard in my life and even though I didn´t have any of his classes, I will remember him as the kind soul he is. Rest in peace Mr Braddock and god bless him and his family going through a rough time.
