It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Owens Bradley, 84, at his home in Vinton, Virginia on August 28, 2025. Born October 19, 1940, in Dailey WV, a son of the late Odgar Ernest Bradley and late Thelma Margaret Bradley. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Ernest and Ralford Bradley; and one sister, Nancy Barnes. On March 25, 1961, he married the former Carolyn Lea Komandt of Garrettsville, Ohio, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Robert Bradley, Jr. and wife, Sheila of Blue Ridge VA; two daughters, Wendy McCormick and husband Michael of Vinton VA, Patricia Kenney and husband, Andrew of Yellow Spring, WV; one brother, David Bradley of Belington, WV; one sister, Dianna Reed of Belington, WV; six grandchildren, Michael Jones (Michelle), Kasi Koerner (Joe), Danielle Watson (Anthony), Aaron Bradley (Bri), Breanna Flannery (Matt) and Stacy McCormick; and four great-grandchildren, Jesse, Isabella, Willow and Kirra; special friend, Virgil Jones; and beloved pet, Holly. Mr. Bradley proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and retired after 21 years of service on January 31, 1979. Funeral services will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Road, Dublin, VA 24084 at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
