Charlotte, North Carolina - Robert Jude Brassil "Bob" 66 of Charlotte passed from this earth to heaven on Saturday April 29, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 31, 1956 in Lowell, Massachusetts and moved to Charlotte when he was three years old. Bob was graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and Appalachian State University, where he was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Donovan Brassil. He is survived by his father, Robert Daniel Brassil, brothers William Daniel Brassil (Selina) and David Breen Brassil (Sandy), nieces and nephews, and so many friends he considered family.
Bob had various positions during his working career. He worked in the fencing industry for over 20 years, ending his career at Maybury Fencing. He was a hard worker and worked until the end.
Bob loved Appalachian State football, Coors Lite, his KA brothers, and most of all his family and many friends. He will be dearly missed.
Memorial contributions can be made it the American Cancer Society or the Harris Hospice Unit at Novant Presbyterian.
A memorial will be held on Friday, May 5th at 2pm Tribute & Tallent Funeral Home 1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, NC 28205.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. We were good friends back at East Mecklenburg in high school days. Unfortunately, I have not seen him since the high school class reunion 10 years ago. Miss you Bob.

Bob was a wonderful man and dear friend. We all shared many memories growing up in Stonehaven and the best time at ASU. I want to send my heartfelt condolences to his family. He certainly will be missed by his KA brothers and friends at the football games. Thank goodness for wonderful memories.
