Wade Funeral Home - BristolRobert George Braun, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 82 years old. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Braun, he was a resident of Croydon, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Braun began his career as a drywall installer and was later employed as a truck driver for Alpha Systems in Horsham. He spent his retirement close to his loving family, surrounding himself with the people he loved most. A proud veteran, he served with honor in the U.S. Navy. His time on the USS Kitty Hawk left a lasting impression on him, and he cherished the opportunity to share his experiences and stories.
Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing and cheering for his favorite sports teams, the Phillies and Eagles, with his children and grandchildren. But above all, he cherished the time he spent with his beloved wife, often taking scenic car rides and always holding hands. Mr. Braun leaves behind a legacy of strength, loyalty and service.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Constance Marie (nee Knoblauch) Braun, and his children, Michele Meyer (Donald), Robert Braun, Jr. (Christine), Jason Braun (Diana Ruggiero) and Chad Braun, Sr. (Shanna Nemeth). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jessilyn Meyer, Donny Meyer, Jr., Sheri Meyer, Johnathan Meyer, Joseph Meyer, Robert Braun, Christopher Braun, Kayla Ruggerio, Julianna Braun, Haley Braun, Valentino Ruiz, Chad Braun, Jr., Jayden Braun, Kaydence Soffel & Jamison Soffel as well as his great-grandchildren, Emma, Mason, Penny, Chad III and Jackson. He is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Thomas, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Braun.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 10:30am until 12 noon, followed by his Memorial Service beginning at 12 noon, at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
