Robert Michael Breen (Bob)

Robert Michael Breen (Bob), age 56, of San Diego, CA, formerly of South Easton, MA and Middleboro, MA, died peacefully in his sleep on June 25, 2018. He was born on December 4, 1961 and was the beloved son of Ruth A. Cowan of Pembroke, MA and David V. Breen of Barefoot Bay, FL. Bob is survived by siblings David G. Breen (Mary Bracoloni) of Watertown, MA, Kathie Lawrence (Mark Lawrence) of Norwell, MA, and Mary-Ellen Freeman (Pete Freeman) of Preston, CT, and by his former wife Glynnis Gleeson Breen of San Diego, CA. He also leaves behind 7 nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins including his favorite Great Aunt Jennie Yarmalovicz (Jania) of Brockton, MA. Bob will be remembered for his smile, his kindness, his child-like enthusiasm, his willingness to help those in need, and his love of animals, especially for his former canine companions Bella Blue and Blaze. He loved cooking, billiards, fixing things and inventing new ways of tackling any problem. Bob had an entrepreneurial spirit which led him to try his hand at many varied occupations. He served in the U.S. Army, worked in the food service industry, started an event labor company, Cavalry, Inc, his own home inspection company, Inspecttech and was for many years, a maintenance tech for the Bahia Resort in San Diego. The following quote by Henry David Thoreau describes Bob's approach to life: "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away". Bob will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
