Robert G. Brigati

Robert G. Brigati, 78, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved wife, Danielle, his daughter, Jacqueline, and his lifelong friend, Tom Mahon. He leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and laughter.
A proud Marine, Robert served his country with distinction as a decorated Vietnam War veteran. His sense of duty continued after his military service, as he went on to become a respected officer with the Philadelphia Police Department. Whether in uniform or out of it, Robert exemplified honor, bravery, and an unwavering sense of justice.
Beyond his public service, Robert was a man of depth and complexity. A man of great intellect and a sharp wit, he possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Friends and family could always count on him for a good story, a hearty laugh, or an insightful perspective, often all at once. He was particularly passionate about Texas history and delighted in sharing facts and tales about his beloved adopted state.
In his retirement, Robert discovered new outlets for his creativity and curiosity. He took up jewelry making, wrote two books, and travelled. He had a soft spot for science fiction, both the brilliant and the downright terrible-and could often be found enjoying Star Trek or a delightfully bad B-movie, always with a wry comment or two.
Robert was also a talented cook whose meals were crafted with love and a pinch of flair. He was happiest at home in Kerrville, sharing a sometimes peaceful, sometimes adventuresome life with his wife, Danielle and their pets. He is also survived by his daughter Jacqueline Brigati, and his grandchildren, Emily and Owen Carl of Pennsylvania and his sister, Barbara Dacey of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lilliana Brigati.
Known for his humor, passion, and fiery spirit, Robert had an uncanny ability to make people feel welcome, understood, and valued. His warmth, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
