Do Not Grieve for Me
Do not grieve for me, for now I'm free;
I follow the plan God laid out for me
I saw his face, I heard his call,
I took his hand when I heard him call;
I took his hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Than fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, alas, a kiss...
Ah, yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I favored much;
Good times, good friends, a loved ones touched.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief-
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
I'm free by, Harold S. Kushner

Mr. Briggs was a client and a dear friend of mine. Always particular about his lawncare and after 15 plus years, I could finally say to him, "I got this" and he knew I did! He was very appreciative and honest as the day is long. I would often visit with him while the crew was working. I could talk to him like a father, and he could scold and/or praise me like a daughter. I will miss him so very much!
He battled cancer like the champion he was, never letting it get him down or in the way of what he was going to do. I do believe he taught me how to be a better person. I imagine him with his wife and Big Guy up in Heaven with that infectious smile he always wore. My sincere condolences to his girls, Tammy and Dawn. Yall were his entire world! Peace and Love sisters!
