Robert "Bob" Britz Sr., age 74, of Peshtigo, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 1, 1950, Bob lived a life full of dedication, love and quiet strength.
Bob's life took a meaningful turn when he met the love of his life, Carol, at the Town House Restaurant- an encounter that sparked a beautiful journey. They were married on November 7, 1970, and went on to share 53 wonderful years together, full of devotion, laughter, and partnership, until her passing. She was his lifelong best friend and greatest love.
Bob proudly served his country for 10 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, including four years stationed in Germany- an experience that left a lasting impression on him. He continued his service in the Army National Guard for another 20 plus years, earning a place in the respected "20-Year Club." After his military service, Bob retired from Ansul following over 30 years of dedicated work.
In his later years, Bob cherished the simple things. He and Carol spent countless nights at the local Moose Lodge, where they made many dear friends and memories. At home, his garage became his sanctuary- a place where he found joy and pride in working on vehicles, whether changing oil, fixing things up, or teaming up with his beloved son Jamie to bring dream cars to life.
Bob is survived by his sons, Robert "Bobby" Britz Jr. and Jamie (Teri) Britz of Marin both of Marinette; two grandchildren, Breanne (Cory) Chaltry and his adored grandson Kaden Britz. He is also survived by his faithful dachshund companion, Daisy, who rarely left his side.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carol, who's love remained a guiding light in his life.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Bob at the Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home on Saturday April 26th from 3pm until the time of services 5pm.
Bob leaved behind a legacy of service, loyalty, family, and friendship. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.
