Hi Sharon, Jill, Jennifer and Emily. I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I was in AK helping my son pack up his house and move his household contents back to Michigan. Unfortunately I was gone at the time of his passing and in route home (took 7 days of hard driving) at the time of the visitation and funeral.
I have many fond memories of Bob especially on the softball field. He drove me nuts because he always wanted to pitch with a toothpick in his mouth. I was constantly on him to take it out because I was afraid somebody would hit a line drive at him and knock down his throat. He would get rid of it to appease me but the following week it would be there again.
I always had great respect for Bob, he was a true gentleman and friend. Although because of Covid and his move to SH we didn't have many opportunities to to share our friendship but the few times we did it was always a pleasure.
Please accept my condolences to all of you. I have enjoyed your friendship through the many years and will keep all of you in my prayers.
Tom

Sharon and family, our sincere sympathy. I will miss seeing Bob in the passenger seat of your car coming in and out of the neighborhood. It was our loss that we never met Bob, his obituary is telling of the grand footprint he left. Please remember us as neighbors if you need anything.

I was a patient from the time I was 18. Ten years or so ago I kept saying to my husband that I kept seeing Dr. Brower inside Fort Wilderness at Disney. My husband kept saying people looked alike. The next time I saw him I stopped and said Dr. Brower? He turned and said Karen? We had such a good laugh! It was my doctor! He was a great doctor! He got me through many a jam! I've missed him since he retired. I think of him often with found memories. I'm sorry for your lose! He was a good man and a great doctor! My thoughts and prayers are with you! God Bless.

If you were new to the church or just shy, you might find yourself standing alone in the Narthex, after the service. You´re holding coffee in a styrofoam cup. You´re with charter members and other church attendees. Dr. Bob would make his way over to where you stand and say, " How´s John?" "How´s Bob?", "How´s Don?"
If you happen to be a University of Michigan alumni or fan, he would comment on the latest win or loss with his patented chuckle, accompanied by a twinkle from his blue eyes, he might even ask you about your dog. Doctor Bob was full of charm. After he got to know you, he might invite you to brunch at the Bistro with Sharon after church. Regardless of your economic or social status he was an includer and truly a good Samaritan, waiting for you at the side of the road.

With deepest sympathy,
And fond memories

BOB was a special friend to me and to my late husband, Gordon.
He was the kindest man !! Bob and Gordon had many hard laughs with tears running down their face. Bob and Sharon were more than neighbors; they were FRIENDS. Praying for God's peace for Bob's dear family.

Bob was a neighbor of mine in South Haven for 40 years. He always had a great sense of humor, a ready smile and an infectious laugh.
