Robert Claude Erwin Brown, age 60, of Yantis, passed away at his home on February 8, 2025.
Robert was born on January 29, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, to John Lovelace Brown and Frankie Lynn (Crim) Brown. After graduating high school, Robert attended trade school and received a proficiency certificate in auto mechanics. He pursued careers that included working for Firestone and the Dallas Morning News in the newspaper printing department before moving to Yantis. He later transitioned to a role as a packager at Circle E Western Store.
Robert was a member of Central Christian Church in Winnsboro and a past member of the Lions Club in Yantis. He enjoyed many hours of bass fishing on Lake Fork and was passionate about playing his guitar. His love for helping others led him to be deeply involved with Terror Trails, where he volunteered in many capacities, assisting with whatever was needed. Robert had an innate curiosity and was always on the lookout for new projects to tinker with and explore.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, John Lovelace and Frankie Lynn Brown.
Left to cherish his memory are his five siblings: Kay Ellis and husband Robert of Rockport Lamar, TX; Priscilla O’Malley and husband Patrick of Hot Springs Village, AR; David Brown and wife Debbie of Carrollton, TX; Bill Brown of Sanger, TX; and Alicia Milner of Yantis, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Graveside service for Robert will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2025 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney, Texas with Pastor Kevin Hollowell officiating.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are David Brown, Bill Brown, Patrick O'Malley, Robert Ellis, Derek Ellis, and Mat Brown.
