Robert Lewis Brown Jr, 73 , of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on September 28th, 2025. He was the son of Robert Louis Brown and Vernie Dawson Brown, and the husband of Darlene Brown for 44 years.

Brown was born on May 19,1952 , in Lynchburg Va.  He attended school at E.C.Glass , then pursued his education for 2 years at Shaw University where he continued to play football. Later down the road Brown spent the remainder of his days working at the Training school until he retired.

Brown was a member of Ivy Hill Baptist church, Brown lived to spend time with his family on and off the field with his kids and grandkids. Brown also enjoyed watching sports from the littles to the pros. Brown took pride in showing up for any event he was invited to. If he knew, he was there! Aside from sports Brown would spin the majority of his afternoon sitting on the porch listening to his tunes.

In addition, Brown is survived by his children: Nakeisha Brown, Christopher Ross and Nicole Ross. Grandchildren: Nacori (Anthony) Martin, Nakeira Ross, Nakhai Brown, Nyari Brown and Taylor Ross and Great-Grandchildren Everett and Mikah and host of family and friends that will mourn him for the rest of our days. Brown is predeceased by his father Robert Brown and his Mother Vernie Dawson Brown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VCU Hume-Lee Transplant Center.
