Catherine "Peggy" Brown

Catherine (Peggy)Margaret Brown, 96, of Verona, PA, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 26, 2029 and was a longtime resident of Verona, PA. Catherine was the daughter of the late William Regis O'Neill and Elsie Mae Johe O'Neill. She was preceded in death by her brother, William John O'Neill and her devoted husband, John David Brown. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and sister in law in Georgia. Catherine was a longtime active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on numerous committees over the years. She was an avid bowler and a passionate fan of the Pirates and the Steelers. She cherished time spent with close friends in many card clubs through the years.

It was such a blessing that Catherine was able to spend her last year at Senaca Village, next door to her life long friend, Jessie Nepsa. A special thanks to Joey Nepsa and his family for their love and devotion to our Aunt Peggy.

The family would also like to thank the staff and caretakers at Senaca Village, Senaca Place and Senaca Manor and Three Oaks Hospice for their constant care.

A private service will be held at a later date. Soxman Funeral Homes, LTD. (7450 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235), has been entrusted with arrangements.
