Wilbert B. "Bill"
Age 73, of Washington Twp., on Sunday, March 8, 2026, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Beloved husband of almost 51 years to Muretta (Murri) Rethage; father of Matthew (Leigh Anne) Rethage and Michael (Maura) Rethage; Grandfather of Theodore, Malia, Maxwell, and Merrick; Brother of Dorothy Obidzinski, Ednamae Peterson, and Kathleen Cumbie; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. An accomplished electrical engineer, Bill retired from Philips Respironics in 2020. A skilled builder, he was often found working on projects around the house or lending a hand wherever it was needed. His family meant the world to him, and he always made time to be with them. His steady presence will be deeply missed. Friends received, Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, 12:30pm Saturday, in Our Lady of Joy Church of Holy Family Parish. Private Interment in Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and to honor Bill's request, memorial contributions may be to Plum Food Pantry, 81 Sandune Dr. Plum, PA 15239.
