Robert Thomas (Tom) Browning, 88, of Lonoke, Arkansas, departed this life on December 15, 2025. He was born in Lonoke, Ark to Emmit and Millie (Geurin) Browning on April 29, 1937. After school he had several jobs but he joined the North Little Rock Fire Dept Aug. 1, 1963. He retired as Captain in Aug of 1988. He was a member at Wattensaw Baptist Church of Lonoke.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Thomason Browning for almost 54 years, his sons Mike (Vangie) Horton, Russell Browning, 3 grandsons, Robert II (Jessica), Justin and Ian, 8 great grandkids, Kenzie (David), Kyndal, Breht, Rylea, Skylar, Rhea, Annabelle and Raylan, sister-in-law Donna and brother in law Everret. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Joe Faulkner, sister Norma and brother Emmit (Bob) also by his ex-wife Shirley Crace Browning.
He loved his job at the fire dept but his pride and joy was his family, especially his grands and great grands. After retirement he loved deer camp, tending to his cows, following the Razorbacks, cutting firewood and playing golf but most of all, he loved those grand and great grand kids.
Visitation will be Thursday night 5:00-7:00pm at Boyd Funeral Home with private burial after Christmas.
