In Loving Memory of David H Uzzell
July 30th, 1945 – January 20th, 2026
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of David H. Uzzell from Cabot, AR, a devoted father, loving husband, and remarkable man whose life was defined by humor, generosity, and unwavering love and dedication to his family. David served in the Navy on the U.S. Hollister and was a dedicated employee in quality control at L’oreal in North Little Rock for many years. He loved to laugh and joke. His classic “dad jokes” brought his family, friends, and acquaintances countless moments of laughter. On joyous occasions and in times of hardship, David stood side by side with his family, offering strength, support, companionship, and love. He cherished the time he spent with his son, his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Crackers, and his late wife Margaret, who will remain forever in his heart.
As a proud member of the Lonoke High School Class of 1963, David maintained lifelong connections and friendships. He loved to organize class reunions and meet long-time friends to share stories. These moments made him proud and fulfilled. He was a passionate Razorback fan, following Arkansas baseball, basketball, and football with enthusiasm. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—watching and talking about sports, collecting sports cards with his son, grilling with his family, eating barbecue, sharing meals, taking truck rides with Crackers, and enjoying visits from his son during the summer and Christmas holidays. These moments, both ordinary and meaningful, formed memories that will be treasured forever.
David touched many lives and was deeply respected by friends and family alike. To his son, he was far more than just a father—he was a lifelong friend, a trusted partner, a guiding force of purity and goodness, and a source of unwavering support and love. His sacrifices, influence, love, and example of a truly amazing man and human being will be etched in his son’s memory forever. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret L. Uzzell, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his only son, Dr. David H. Uzzell Jr., of South Burlington, Vermont, and Dr. Ernesto L. Ebratt, of Barranquilla, Colombia. David, you are deeply loved by many and will be forever missed! Rest in peace with Muzz, Daddeo!
The visitation will be at 2:00 pm and the chapel service in David’s honor beginning at 3:00 pm at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Arkansas on Thursday, January 22nd followed by a burial ceremony at the Lonoke Cemetery. All friends, acquaintances, and loved ones are invited to share memories and stories of a truly remarkable husband, father, man, and human being. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s memory to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation to support the difficult, yet vital work they do: https://www.arkansashospice.org/foundation/donate
