Robert F. "Bob" Bruhn Jr.

Robert Bruhn, "Bob", age 79 of Jackson Twp., passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025.

He was born January 24, 1946, in Vallejo, California, the son of the late Robert F. and Helen J. (Richer) Bruhn, Sr.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era.

He worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller and retired in 2001.

Bob was a graduate of The University of Akron, with an accounting degree.

He was a basketball referee, baseball umpire, and softball umpire for many years in Northeastern Ohio. He was an avid golfer and played in several local golf leagues.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Bob is survived by wife of 54 years, Kathleen (Trapp) Bruhn; daughter Leah Bruhn and friend Mark Strine; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Melissa Bruhn; granddaughter and husband, Lila-Faye and Angel Zambrano; brother, John Bruhn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sister, Roxanna Oldes, and sister-in-law, Sue Bruhn.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church beginning at 11 A.M. with Fr. Don King celebrant.

Burial to follow the mass at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
