Robert A. Brull (Bob) passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024. He was born in Queens, New York on November 11, 1932 to Helen (Brumbaugh) and Joseph Brull. Bob served in the United States Navy from 1951-1957 where one of his favorite topics to study was meteorology. Bob had a strong affinity to and knowledge of vintage cars and his garage walls were covered with pictures, and his shelves were lined with trophies, from his professional car racing days in Bridgehampton, Long Island. He also was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, where he test drove cars. Bob could take apart and build just about anything, including many model cars.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Bob attended Brooklyn Technical College earning his associates degree. He worked several jobs on Long Island and in Florida, but ultimately retired from National Cash Register (NCR) in Ithaca, NY, where he was employed as an engineer from 1975-1996. During his tenure at NCR, Bob designed many parts for cash registers, earning him 19 government patents.
Bob is survived by his wife, Maureen, children Kristin and Bobby (Magen) and sister Judith MacIntire. Bob was a grandfather to Tiffany, Brayden, Gianna, Brantley, Bennett, and Baylor and uncle to Frank, Scott, Aleen, Reinaldo, Lisabeth, Roberto, Ricardo and Larissa.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
