Robert Lee (Rob) Brummett, passed away at 12:08 PM Sunday Aug. 25, 2024 at his mothers home surrounded by his loving family.
Rob was born June 2, 1970 in Macomb, Illinois to Luther (Luke) Brummett and Joyce (Cook) Brummett. He married Amy Webster on Oct. 12, 2019 in Macomb, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; his mother; daughters, Sierra (Josh Heaton) Brummett, Kayla (Riley Peterson) Sikes, and Autumn Webster; Sons, Robert (Morgan) Thompson, Austin Sikes, Blake Sikes and Jerek Bearce of Macomb; 3 grandsons, Rhett and Easton Thompson and Oliver Sikes; his in-laws Robert and Beverly Webster; Aunts, Mary McFarland of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Nancy DeWitt of Macomb and Cheryl (Jerry) Parry of Carthage; a brother, Richard (Katie) Brummett of Abingdon; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luke Brummett; grandparents; sister, Raylena Brummett; uncle, Richard Cook; aunts, Jeannie Lamb, Janice Bainter-Voight and Barbara Joan Cook; cousins, Brandy Parry and Lori-Ann McFarland.
Rob was employed at Seedbox as a Welder.
Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing and Dirt track racing. He raced a 4 cylinder at Macomb Speedway, Canton, and Jacksonville,
He especially loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Per his request Cremation has been accorded, there will be no visitation or services.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday Oct. 11, 2024 from 2PM till Midnight at the Macomb VFW. Rob helped plan his celebration of life wanting it while he was still with us, but that didnt work out.
Memorial Contributions may be made to McDonough County Animal Shelter or the MDH Hospice Program.
We would like to thank the Hospice Team for all their help in making his last days comfortable. Special thanks to Kayla Parry and Josh Heaton for all their help caring for Rob.
