Bob passed away on September 24, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Rose Diana Bruton, their daughter Kathy Gora (Dave), their two sons, Robert (Theresa) and Dave (Laura) and their 10 grandchildren, and his sisters Mary Lou (Skip) Noble and Kathy Bruton. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill, sister Helen, and granddaughter Betsy.
Bob had a full life spending 40 years working in the computer industry, serving 4 years as the mayor of Maplewood, serving 8 years on the city council in North St. Paul and 20 years, after retirement, helping the homeless in Ramsey County. At different times, he was active at St. Peter's Church, Transfiguration Church and Guardian Angels Church. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 10:00 am followed by a mass at 11:00 am and a luncheon, all at Guardian Angels Church, 8260 4th St. N., Oakdale, with the internment at St. Mary's Cemetery, 2860 Helen St., N. St Paul at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, consider memorials to FMSC.org.
