Bob was an epic storyteller who spun tales of his youth in New York and his travels throughout the world. He was a teacher and football coach with Birmingham schools, worked with the publishing companies Grolier & Worldbook.
Bob was survived by his children: Todd, Erin and Warren; Crystal and Jay, his grandchildren: Alex and Autumn; Shawn, Maxwell, Chrissie, Celeste, Quinnlan, Isaac, Karis, Ariana, Abby, and Rowan.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Sue; parents, Audrey and Howard; cousin, Jim; Aunts Dixie and Shirley; and Uncles Jim and Wally.
A lover of history, he brought the past to life to his family and students. Later in life, Bob was a generous philanthropist to many charities and causes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please send donations to his favorite causes: St. Jude, ASPCA or the ACLU.
Bob was very beloved and will be missed greatly.
