Robert Carey Obituary
Robert Allen Carey, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at LGH. He was the son of the late Francis and Mary Jane (Butt) Carey. He was a brother to James, Nancy, Kathleen and Joan Carey; also having five nephews and three nieces.
Husband to Patricia Joan Louise (Montgomery) Carey; father to son, Jason and step-father to Jennifer Gant and Jonathan Maxwell.
A 1972 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and a champion track and field athlete.
He was a member of Jehovah Witnesses of both the Lancaster and Phillipsburg congregations.
He worked in the electronics and computer industry for over fifty years. He loved to campout at the beach as well as in the mountains with friends and family.
He loved his cats and his dachshund, Chessy. Walking in the woods with his wife Patricia was one of his favorite pastimes as well as cooking for family and friends at home. His generosity and love will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Saint Joseph’s New Roman Catholic Cemetery, 175 Charles Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM. The family will welcome guests at the cemetery starting at 12:30 PM. A celebratory reception will follow the graveside service.
