Robert E. Carpenter, 51, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away on September 14th, 2025.
He will be remembered for his love of working on vehicles and the joy he found in his family. Even though he faced struggles, Robert's heart always belonged to his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply. He had an infectious laugh that was truly contagious and a gift for making others smile.
The greatest joy of Robert's life was his children, grandchildren, and his mother. He was a free spirit who loved to travel anywhere his kids were. Robert was a devoted father who loved his family unconditionally.
Robert is survived by his children: Kayla Carpenter (Sofia) of Florida, Ryan Carpenter of Florida, Kaitlin Carpenter of New Matamoras, Travis Scarbrough of Marietta , Robert Carpenter Jr. of Florida, and also a special girl Layla Mason of Marietta ; a child that he considered his own. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Isaiah Whitstine, Jasiah Carpenter, Alaia Carpenter, and Kaden Carpenter.
He is also survived by his mother, Ethel Henthorn; brothers, Charles Carpenter Jr. (Kim) and John Carpenter (Sherry); sister, Abby Farnsworth; and several nieces and nephews - all of Marietta, Ohio.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Charles Carpenter Sr.; brother, Kevin Carpenter; and grandparents, Hazel and Delbert Dillehay, Everett Carpenter, and Florence Robinson.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date.
Robert's memory will live on through the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the legacy he leaves in his family's hearts.
