Robert "Bobby" Carr

Robert "Bobby" Carr, age 77 of Lebanon, passed away on January 16th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Lorene Carr and father-in-law, Charles Haskins. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sherry Carr; children, Brandy (Nick) Hays, Brian (Heather) Carr, and Courtney (Brent) Ford; grandchildren, Brody, Cooper and Hadley Hays; Kara, Leah, Emma and Jena Carr; Cami, Cash, and Crew Ford; mother-in-law, Ramona Haskins as well as 2 sisters.

Bobby spent his life deeply connected to his community and the activities he enjoyed most. He loved sports, especially softball, and played an important role in organizing and supporting men's leagues throughout the area, including those at Hobbs Field, The Glade, and Oiler Park. Golf was also a lifelong passion for Bobby. He served as a board member at the Lebanon Golf and Country Club, ran the pro shop, and enjoyed many days on the course.

Bobby was a hardworking businessman whose career reflected both dedication and versatility. He was involved with Pick and Pay Carpets and later established 231 Car Sales. He was also part owner of Lebanon Sporting Goods before opening Sports World and Trophy World in 1990, businesses that combined his entrepreneurial spirit with his love for athletics and the local community.

Above all else, Bobby was a devoted grandfather, proudly known as "Papa." He rarely missed an opportunity to watch his grandchildren in different activities and was always their biggest supporter. He also enjoyed WWE and sharing conversations about it with his grandkids, something that brought him a great deal of joy.

Visitation for Mr. Carr will take place at Partlow Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 20th from 4 to 8 PM and again on Wednesday from 11 AM until the funeral service at 1 PM. Bro. Kevin White will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Brian Carr, Nick Hays, Brent Ford, Brody Hays, Cooper Hays, Cash Ford, Tony Whited and Ben Lawson will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. McKinney and the staff at Family Medical, Rachel Harris, FNP and staff and the physicians and nurses at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bobby's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Berea Church of Christ.
