Robert "Boots" Marvin Carter was born on March 31, 1940 in Tallapoosa Mo. to the late Mamie Joyce Holt Carter & Robert Milton Carter. He passed away on Thursday October 23, 2025 at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 85 years

He was united in marriage to Linda June Williams on June 23, 1969, in New Madrid MO she preceded him in death on May 29, 2004. He was a United States Veteran serving in the army and a member of the American Legion Post 595 in New Madrid. He was a lifelong farmer and loved working for Jason Cope farms.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Mamie Joyce Holt Carter & Robert Milton Carter, also preceding him; his sibling, Glenda Sue Carter, Phyllis Boulton, Shirley Williams, Gail Presnell, Louise Harp, Patricia Faye Carter, Milton Ray Carter, Ronnie "Buddy" Carter, Phillip "Moon" Carter. One son - in – law; Brian Richner.

He loved to work on the farm, but his biggest joy came with spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Annette (Brian) Richner of Maryland, Amanda (Larry Joe) of Lilbourn, MO and Tina Williams of Sikeston, Missouri. Two sons; Bobby Carter of McCalla, Alabama and Shawn Carter of New Madrid, Mo. One brother, Gary Wayne Carter of Lilbourn MO. Eleven grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends
