Robert L. Caudill, age 84, of Owingsville KY, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 08, 2025. Robert was born March 27, 1941 in Salt Lick, KY to the late Enos and Alma Adams Caudill. He was a 1959 graduate of Owingsville High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Robert's passion in life was his work. Anyone that knew him would describe him as one of the hardest working men they had ever met. Other than his family, he loved nothing more than sitting on a piece of equipment moving dirt. He established R.L. Caudill Construction from the ground up in 1965 with dedication, vision, and an unshakable work ethic, and alongside his three sons, built it into a successful business that has thrived for 60 years. He took immense pride not only in the work he did, but in the people he worked alongside, always treating his employees like family. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family deeply, took pride in his work, and lived a life of quiet strength and steady purpose. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the business he built, and the family who loved him dearly.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Caudill of Owingsville. Two sons, Stuart (Christa) Caudill of Mount Sterling and Shannon (Tracie) Caudill of Owingsville. A brother, Charles Caudill of Owingsville and sister, Lodemia Stephen of Florence. Two great grandchildren, Eleanor Preece and Meredith Preece of Mount Sterling.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one son, Robert "Robby" Joseph Caudill and one sister, Alvenia Judy.
