Robert John Cawley

Presque Isle – Robert John Cawley, 62, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 11, 1963, in Presque Isle, the son of Robert and Hilma (Conley) Cawley.
Bob graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1981. He then went on to graduate from NMVTI, University of Southern Maine and earned a Masters of Accounting from Bentley College. He has worked for Arthur Andersen, Chester M Kearney, Farm Credit of Aroostook and Katahdin Trust Company.
Bob was a devoted husband and father. He had a soft spot for all animals. He loved attending his children's sport and school events and watching high school basketball games. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing tennis and basketball. His favorite times were spent with family on trips and at Portage Lake.
Bob was a respected member of the SAD1 school board for 17 years. He was also on the Presque Isle Development Fund committee for many years.
He was predeceased by his father Robert Cawley, mother Hilma Nickerson, step-father Dana Nickerson, birth parents Susan Boutot and Larry Robichaud, father-in-law John Lagerstrom and many aunts and uncles.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Trudy, son Christopher and his fiancé Claire Carroll, daughter Michelle and her husband Nathan Roberts, grandson Riley Roberts, sister Pamela and her husband Michael Martin, mother-in-law Marena Lagerstrom, sister-in-law Ann Block, brother-in-law Paul Lagerstrom, aunts Kay Adams and Janice Conley, nieces Danielle Martin, Angela Scheibler, Dr. Kristina Block, Jenna Block, Lindsey Lagerstrom, Emily Lagerstrom, nephew Joshua Martin and their families.
A service will be will be held 1PM Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Grant Memorial Methodist Church, 79 Fleetwood St, Presque Isle, ME 04769. The family asks that you please join them for a time of reception and remembrance following the service in the church reception hall. Interment for Robert will be held at the Fairmount Cemetery following the reception.
