Robert (Bob) Kent Chalberg, 77, of Geneva, Illinois, died on Saturday, June 28th. He had a spirited personality and was loved by all who knew him, especially his wife of 55 years.

Born on August 14, 1947, in Geneva, Illinois to the late Lorraine (Brinkman) and Kenneth Chalberg, Bob grew up in Geneva, Illinois with his sister Kathy (Chalberg) Bleck. He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he studied accounting and met his wife Judy (Jeskie) Chalberg.

Bob was an avid sports fan, devoted to the Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bulls. He also enjoyed watching cycling and golf. He had a lifelong love for the Beatles, whose music brought him great joy. A dedicated CPA, he was passionate about his work and took great pride in spending time in his office seven days a week.

Bob is survived by his wife: Judy of Geneva; daughter: Angela (Mark) Chalberg Pool of Geneva; granddaughter: Melissa Pool of Geneva; sister: Kathy (Jerry) Bleck of Geneva; nieces: Laura Bleck of Geneva and Lisa (Nick) Murphy of Winter Garden, FL; and his sisters- and brothers-in-law: Barbara Bowles of Ashville, OH, Jim (Pat) Jeskie of Cape Coral, FL, Larry (Dolores) Jeskie of Marmaduke, AR, Leanne (Steve) Hill of Mt. Vernon, OH, and Jill Herrara of Geneva; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister- and brother-in-law Betty (Ron) Hall and Wally Jeskie.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at 1:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 5th followed by a service at 3:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home of Geneva, 1771 W. State Street, Geneva, IL 60134.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's honor may be made to the Anderson Animal Shelter of South Elgin, the Geneva History Museum or the University of Illinois Foundation.
