Robert Charette Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 14, 2025.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Joseph Charette, 76, of Fort Kent, Maine, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous health battle. Robert was born on May 19, 1949, in Fort Kent, Maine, to the late Adelard and Catherine (Lozier) Charette.
A proud veteran, Robert honorably served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he distinguished himself by receiving a bronze medal. The rest of his career he spent working in construction where he started and ran a successful drywall company for many years.
Known for his vibrant personality, Bob was a true comedian at heart. He possessed a remarkable ability to find humor in any situation, always bringing laughter and comfort to those around him. Beyond his humor, Robert was incredibly generous, always willing to help those in need.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Charette, with whom he shared over 18 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his children, Robert Jr. (Jennifer), Daniel, Sarah and Tyler (Molly), and grandfather to Macenzi, Keenan, Elliott, Eleanor and Francis and great-grandfather to Maddox, all of whom he cherished dearly.
He is also survived by his sisters, Laurelle Bouchard, Antoinette (James) Hamberg, Beatrice (Kent) Parent and brothers Walden (Norma) Charette, Gerald (Ida) Charette, and David (Angela) Charette.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by two brothers, Pierre and Roger Charette, a brother-in-law, Norman Bouchard, and a sister-in-law, Joyce Charette.
Interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery later in the spring.
Robert's infectious laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at the Aroostook Cancer Center and Northern Light Home Care and Hospice for their care and kindness.
