Pawtucket – Robert J. Charpentier, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Pickles) Charpentier for sixty-eight loving years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alfred R. and Cecile (St.Jean) Charpentier. Bob was a 1953 graduate of Pawtucket East Senior High School. He was also a 1955 graduate of the U.S. Navy Dental Technician's School and proudly served in the United States Navy until discharged in August 1961. He was a lineman / foreman at Blackstone Valley Electric Company / National Grid, Lincoln, for forty-five years until retiring in June 1997. Bob was a former member of the B.V.E. Bowling League; B.V.E. Golf League and B.V.E. Senior's Club. He was a communicant of St. Teresa Church, Pawtucket. Besides his loving wife, he leaves three daughters, Lori J. Cookson and her husband, David, of Miamisburg, Ohio, Lynne A. LaCroix and her husband, Richard, of Enfield, New Hampshire and Christine M. Buja of Pawtucket; two sons, Robert S. Charpentier of Harrisville, RI and Marc D. Charpentier and his fiancée, Nicole Mancini of Clemmons, NC; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Allison E. Buja and the brother of the late Alfred P. Charpentier, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 12 p.m. at St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to Evergreen House Health Center, ATTN: Activities Dept., 1 Evergreen Drive, East Providence, RI 02914 would be appreciated.
