Robert Cheeseman

Robert "Bob" Lee Cheeseman, 72, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026.

Bob was born on July 3, 1953, in Danville, Illinois, to Lawrence and Helen (Carlson) Cheeseman. The youngest of three, Bob graduated from Danville High School in 1971, enjoying numerous hobbies and extracurriculars including cross-country, football, baseball, motorcross, and motorcycle repair. After high school Bob worked for Powell Fencing, Marathon Gas, Continental Can, and became an iron worker. He married Ruthann (Lawson) in Danville, Illinois, in 1972 and they had three children: Adam Cheeseman of Kokomo, Indiana, Holly Barker, and Philip Augustyn, both of Lafayette, Indiana. They relocated to Arizona in the early 1980s where Bob began a career at the Home Depot lasting nearly two decades.

In July 1993 Bob married Susan (Enyart) in Mesa, Arizona. They share two daughters, Debbie Groves and Amy Cheeseman, as well as his cherished granddaughter Gwendalyn Lee Nichols. In 2001 the family relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, which he called home until his death. In 2012 he transitioned his career to Lowe's Home Improvement where he would meet his partner and fiancé Karen Turczak.

Bob loved being a father & grandfather, and more than anything enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was always willing to help anyone in need and volunteered many hours on home improvement projects and motorcycle repair. A truly free spirit, Bob and his friends took numerous motorcycle trips, giving him some of his favorite adventures, and he was looking forward to future travels with partner Karen.

Preceding Bob in death are parents Lawrence and Helen, and sister Beverly (John) Newberry. Remaining to cherish Bob's memory are partner and fiancé Karen Turczak; children Adam Cheeseman, Holly (Brandon) Barker, Philip Augustyn, Debbie Groves, and Amy Cheeseman; granddaughter Gwendalyn; brother Charles "Chuck" Cheeseman; nieces Christine, Amy, Michelle, and Mindy, along with their children and grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled at Bradbury Memorial Center on January 23rd, from 3pm to 6pm,

located at 3317 Highway 95 N, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

A Celebration of Life will be held February 1st, from 1pm to 3pm at the Moose Lodge, located at 3279 Maricopa Ave, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested by the family to help cover funeral expenses.
