It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" G. Chew, 93, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at Wellington at Hershey's Mill Senior Living. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Bob embodied a life of dedication, resilience, and love.
A proud graduate of Chester High School in 1950, Bob served his country with honor as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. After returning home, he dedicated many years to his career at Sun Oil Company in Trainer, PA, where he worked as a foreman until his retirement in 1988. Bob was a member of the VFW Post 926 and the Sun Honor Club, where he found camaraderie with fellow veterans and coworkers. In addition to his professional achievements, Bob cherished the time spent with family and friends. He loved to dance, and his passion for baseball, golf, and bowling brought joy to his life. Winters spent in Vero Beach, Florida, created beautiful memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew him.
Bob was the son of the late Fletcher and Freida Gray Chew and the grandson of Gary and Lavinia Gray who raised him.
SURVIVORS: Bob is survived by his wonderful wife of 53 years Dorothy (nee Yantz) Chew, his children Vicki Baiocco (Michael), Thomas Poussart (Ellen), Kathi Oddo, and Karen Price (Chris), and his brother Tommy Chew (Maryann). Robert is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
