Mr. Robert "Gee" Chism, age 70, of Lone Star, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 2, 1955, R.G. was a man who valued life's simple joys. He found peace in watching westerns, cherished time spent visiting with friends, and took pride in cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys and his alma mater, the Daingerfield Tigers. In 2023, he gave his life to Christ and became a member of Hughes Springs Community Church, where he faithfully served in the Usher Ministry before joining the Men's Choir.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Hughes Springs Community Church. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the funeral home.

R.G. was preceded in death by his parents, R.E. and Jennie Chism; sister, Cathy Chism; stepson, Tyrone Evans; mother-in-law, Eddie Dean Peters; father-in-law, Henry Peters; brothers-in-law, Loy Montgomery Jr., Bobby Simmons, and Calvin Peters; sister-in-law, Doris Chism; and nephew, Corey Nero.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Beverly Chism; daughter and son-in-law, Quaneshia and Carlton Fluellen; son, Cordero Chism; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Zeon Sims; stepson, Richardo Smith; sisters, Sue Montgomery and Letha Simmons; brothers, Gerald Chism and Richard Chism; beloved grandchildren, Jeremiah Fluellen, Gabriel Sims, and Uriel Sims; sister-in-law, Barbara Peters; brothers-in-law, Carl Peters and wife Priscilla, and Steve Peters and wife Shandra; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
