He was born on April 8, 1951 in Jackson, Tennessee to the late Paul Chumney, Sr. and Georgia Jordan Chumney. Sonny enjoyed to duck hunt and fish. He loved all things Tennessee Vols.
In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by two brothers, Stan Chumney and Jomar Chumney.
He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Tina Chumney of Humboldt; daughter, Kristen Davis and her husband Michael of Humboldt; two grandchildren, Emma Davis and Noah Davis; aunt and uncle, Jack and Betty Lou Chumney; nieces, Heather Tidwell and her husband LT, Ashlee Chumney and Amber Rogers; nephews, Robert Chumeny and his wife Raelyn and River Chumney; two sister-in-laws, Sarah Chumney and Carla Birmingham; and several great nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
