He was born on February 13, 1973, in Jackson to Thomas Johnson and the late Paulette Barron Rankin. Michael was intelligent and lived life on his own terms. He was a lover of all music and sports.
In addition to his mother, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Johnson and brother-in-law, Jerry Pittman.
He is survived by his father, Thomas Johnson of Jackson; son, Thomas Michael Johnson of Jackson; brother, Perry "Bubba" Page (Phyllis) of Jackson; two sisters, Paula Pittman of California and Pam Johnson (Thomas) of Jackson. Other survivors include two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and one special little girl, Ana Proctor.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
