In Loving Memory of Gladys McKnight (88) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Nannie, who departed this life peacefully on November 12, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Gladys was cherished by family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy endures through the kindness, wisdom, and love she shared with her family and the world. Born on August 25, 1937, in Forrest City, Arkansas, Ms. Gladys was the daughter of John & Emma Higgins. Raised in a loving home, Nannie grew up surrounded by family and developed a lifelong appreciation for family traditions. She later married Russell McKnight with whom they shared 58 wonderful years, building a home filled with warmth, laughter, and support. Her compassion and commitment to her profession was evident in the many achievements and respect she earned throughout her career. Beyond work, Nannie was deeply involved in her community and church, always lending a helping hand to those in need. Her passions included her grand and great grandchildren, and she took great joy in sharing their exploits with others, inspiring countless friends and neighbors. Ms. Gladys is survived by daughters, Dianne McKee, Sheila Carlton (Bob), Cindi Thompson (Barry), and sons Rusty McKnight (Lisa) and Ben McKnight (Leighann).
