Robert M. Cook, of Riverside, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Bob was the beloved son of the late Don Harvey Cook and Mary (née Eyler).
A devoted husband to Dr. Carolanne Garstka, Bob is also survived by his loving siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bob attended Fairleigh Dickenson University, and George Washington University, becoming a senior Engineer for Lockheed Martin, while doing extensive intelligence follow-up for government contracts through the ESS Corporation. He traveled extensively, and when home, had a deep passion for cooking-he was a master in the kitchen, finding peace and joy through preparing large meals and parties for those he loved. He was also an avid Ham Radio Operator, and was President of a local Ham Radio club. Additionally, he found great fulfillment in intelligence and security work, which took him to Guam and Hawaii, for 28 years, where he conducted training sessions at Motorola Inc. and Andersen Air Force Base. During down time, he was his wife's editor for her doctoral work, and included himself to travel with her, to Arizona, and Florida, during her residencies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with burial at Lakeview Memorial Park, also in Cinnaminson.
The funeral service will be live-streamed at the following link: [https://www.viewlogies.net/givnish/844-lvhiG?pin=749252].
