It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert P. Cordella, 71, of Worcester, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was surrounded by loved ones.
Born September 25, 1954, in Worcester, Robert was the youngest son of the late Frederick and Louise (Zolla) Cordella.
An avid baseball player, fisherman, hunter, gunsmith, and mechanic, Robert was a highly intelligent and talented man who lived a life full of excitement and love. From having played against the New York Yankees in college to hunting in South Africa as a young man, there was little Robert set his heart on that he couldn’t attain, though he always bragged that his greatest achievement was his family, who he cherished above all else.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia (Polissack) Cordella; his loving children, Michael, Daniel and his partner Jill, and Bonnie Louise; his adored grandchildren, Lana and Evelyn; his cherished siblings, David and his wife Mary Jane, and Frederick; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sadly, in addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his nephew, David.
