Robert Anthony Docimo Jr. July 6, 1963 – March 3, 2026

Our beloved Robert “Bob” Anthony Docimo Jr. of Shrewsbury passed away suddenly on March 3, 2026.

Born on July 6, 1963, in Worcester, he grew up in Auburn with his parents, Robert and Barbara Docimo, and his brothers, Frank and Joe. Bob attended Bay Path Vocational High School and graduated in 1981. After high school, he entered the workforce and built a long career in construction where he was respected for his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication.

Bob met the love of his life, Anne (Jahnle), in 1985. They married in 1988 and built a beautiful life together in Shrewsbury, where they raised their daughters, Brianna and Emily.

Bob was a devoted husband, proud father, father-in-law, Nonno, beloved son and brother, loyal friend, coach, and mentor. Everyone who knew him loved him.

For many years, he was known throughout the community as “Coach Bob,” serving as a beloved coach with Shrewsbury Youth Soccer and as a dedicated coach for Special Olympics of Shrewsbury. He was more than a coach - he was a mentor, role model, and steady presence in the lives of countless young athletes. He believed in showing up, putting in the work, and taking care of your team - on and off the field.

Family was the center of Bob’s life. He was a proud “girl dad” who adored his daughters and loved being a Nonno more than anything. His granddaughters were his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent cheering them on, teaching them, and simply being their Nonno.

Bob had a passion for cooking and could often be found in the kitchen with music playing, a bottle of homemade wine open, and family gathered around. He loved making wine, hosting friends, and bringing people together. His home was always open - whether for a holiday celebration or an ordinary Tuesday night. He believed deeply in loyalty, kindness, hard work, and putting family first.

He was the kind of man who showed up for his wife, his daughters, his friends, his neighbors, and anyone who needed him. He instilled strong values, empathy, and resilience in those he loved. He was deeply proud of his family, and they never doubted his love.

Bob was rich in what mattered most: love, friendship, and family. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Anne Docimo; his daughters, Brianna Stone her husband Jake and their daughter Brooklynn, and Emily Brisbois her husband Tyler and their daughters Francesca and Marlowe; his parents, Robert and Barbara Docimo; his brothers, Frank Docimo and his wife Andrea and son Dominic and Joe Docimo; along with many loving extended family members and dear friends who were like family to him.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 11am-2pm at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
