Michael P. Terlizzi, 70, of Millbury, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by his entire family after a very long battle with COPD.
Michael is survived by his brother, Maurice A. Terlizzi; and his sister, Marie C. Terlizzi; triplet nieces and a nephew, Olivia R. Terlizzi and her fiancé Davis Fisher, Maggie L. Terlizzi and her fiancé Tori Trifone, and Mario A. Terlizzi; a great niece, Charlotte Lena Terlizzi; many cousins and friends. Born in Worcester on Saint Patrick’s Day 1955, he was a son of the late, Mario N. and Lena G. (Gentile) Terlizzi, and attended North High School in Worcester.
Michael was the office manager for MacKoul Electric, where he worked for many years, before retiring in 2013. Michael was a member of Saint Anne’s Church, The Brown Square Civic Club, and the Eastside Improvement Club. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hunting, and mushrooming. He liked Keno and FanDuel Football.
To Dr. Richard Irwin, a heartfelt thank you for your outstanding care of Michael over the past forty years, he would not have gotten through without you.
A special thank you to the critical care nurses who took wonderful care of Michael, along with the doctors and nurses from the palliative COPD clinic, your kindness and caring is truly appreciated.
Calling Hours will be on Monday morning, March 9, from 8:30 am until 11:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, a procession will depart the funeral home at 11:45 am, enroute to a Funeral Mass at 12 pm at Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road (route 9 east), Shrewsbury, MA. Entombment will follow at Saint John’s Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association, by visiting www.lung.org.
